What is The Invisible P&L?

Some of the most consequential work inside a company never appears directly on its P&L.

The difficult conversations. The operating decisions made with incomplete information. The systems holding growth together. The problems solved before anyone else notices them.

The Invisible P&L is a private community where CEOs and COOs can discuss that work honestly and learn from peers facing similar challenges.

It is not another content feed or networking directory. It is a working community built around practical questions, trusted relationships, and shared experience.

Who is it for?

The founding circle is intended for leaders who:

  • Currently serve as a CEO or COO, or hold an equivalent company-wide operating role
  • Work with a growth-stage company
  • Carry meaningful responsibility for execution, people, systems, or scale
  • Want candid input from experienced peers
  • Are willing to contribute their own experience, not only consume
  • Respect confidentiality and a strict no-selling environment

If your title is different but your responsibilities closely match those of a CEO or COO, you are welcome to apply.

What members receive

As a founding member, you will have access to:

  • A private Slack community for candid operational questions
  • Practical, experience-based input from fellow CEOs and COOs
  • Curated introductions to relevant peers
  • Small-group conversations and private roundtables
  • Useful operating resources, tools, and templates
  • The opportunity to help shape the community from its beginning

Our community principles

Confidentiality

What is shared in the community stays in the community. Insights may travel, but names, company details, and identifying information may not.

No selling

No pitching, prospecting, list building, or unsolicited sales messages.

Generosity

Members are expected to ask openly, respond thoughtfully, and help others when their experience is relevant.

Experience over performance

Specific, honest experience is more valuable here than polished advice or thought leadership.

Respectful disagreement

Different perspectives are encouraged. Disrespect is not.

Why I am starting it

The CEO and COO roles are highly consequential, but they can also be unusually isolating.

Many of the decisions CEOs and COOs carry are too sensitive for a public forum, too specific for generic advice, and difficult to discuss inside their own companies.

I am creating The Invisible P&L to provide a trusted room for those conversations: a place where experienced operators can think together, share what they have learned, and make the invisible work a little less lonely.
